US Family Center Notice

Important update regarding the US Family Center site - Electronics.

The New US Family Center is now live.

Visit our new Sony Electronics Family Center at https://familycenter.electronics.sony.com and start by creating your account today. All employees will need to register on the new site.

Instructions for accessing the site can be found under Sony Active Employee Registration. Please note any unused store credits will not be moved to the new electronics store until all orders have been processed on the old site (estimated date is March 29).

If you have any questions, please go to our Contact Us page where you will find our FAQs, employee and retiree logon instructions, and how to get support if you run into issues.

Due to the transition phase, which may last two to three weeks after the site goes live, please be aware that some products might not be available immediately as we move inventory to our new warehouse.

  • Additionally, stay tuned for updates on the new SIE Merchandise site – coming soon. This will be an exciting addition to our Family Center offerings.

Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

 

Q: Who is eligible on the new site?

A. All Sony US active employees as well as eligible retirees will be eligible for membership on the new Electronics site.

 

Q: What is new site location? When the site will be available?

A. Please click here for new site. New site will be open on March 20th.

 

Q. Do I need a new account for the new site?

A. Yes. This is a whole new site and will requires you to set up a new account. You will be creating a Sony account on the Sony InfoSec approved site. For access to the Family Center, you must use your Sony email to create an employee account. Please review the registration process documents for active and retiree employees.

 

Q. What will happen after registration?

A. If you are on Single Sign On, you will have access immediately after you sign up. If you are not on Single Sign On, the following process will occur.

  • Non-Single Sign on user validation will be based on your Sony email address. For Sony Retiree validation will be based on your retiree/Alumni ID.
  • New accounts can take up to 5 business days to be validated if you are not on Single Sign On
  • New hires can take up to 1 month to be validated if you are not on Single Sign On. If you If you have not heard back about your registration, please reach out to your HR contact to verify your information before reaching out to us.

Once your account is approved, you will receive a welcome email.

Q. What happens to order on current Family Center site that are not complete?

A. Our plan is to process and ship all order made in the current family Center site. However, should the order be delayed for an extended period, we may need to cancel and refund your order. If this occurs, you will be notified.

 

Q. What happens to my order history once the move occurs?

A. Your account on Familycenter.Sony.com will still be active and available to view your order history, you just will not be able to order on this site.

  

Q. Will my available store credit transfer to my new site account?

A. Your store credit will be transferred to the new Electronics Family Center site account. However, there will be a brief delay while we transfer the credit to the new platform.

 

Q. Will we still be getting the same discounts?

A. In general, we will still be offering 25-40% off all Sony Electronics products on the site and the overall goal of offering standard discounts is not changing. However, discounts and pricing are not guaranteed, and all prices and discounts are subject to change.

 

Q. Are the Sony Family Center terms and conditions changing?

A. Our Sony Family Center terms and conditions (T/C) are being updated for the new site and will be very similar to the Sony Family Center T/Cs on the current site. Please be sure to check out the Sony Family Center T/C’s on the new site once (available during and after re-registration) for details. Family Center new site terms and conditions.
